캘거리에 본사를 둔 WestJet Airlines의 CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech는 4월 12일 캘거리 상공회의소에서 있었던 연설에서 2019년 캐나다에서 제정된 항공 승객 권리 장전을 지지하지만, 항공기 지연에는 공항, 보안, 국경통제, 지상의 관제사, 수화물 취급을 포함한 여러 분야와 관련이 있다고 했다.
CEO Von Hoensbroech는 항공사를 제외한 다른 부문은 항공 승객 보호 규정에서 제외되어 있으며, 항공사는 항공산업 전체의 보험회사와 같은 성격을 뛰고 있다고 했다. 그는 고객을 위해 신뢰할 수 있는 제품을 공동으로 생산하는 항공부문을 원한다면, 책임도 공유할 필요가 있다고 했다.

Alghabra 장관은 지난달 Canadian Transportation Agency가 항공 여행과 관련하여 약 42,000건의 불만사항을 처리하고 있으며, 처리속도를 높이기 위해 75.9 밀리언 달러를 추가로 지급할 것이라는 발표를 했었다.
