브리티시 콜롬비아의 밴쿠버에서 열린 Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2022 (Post Secondary – In Person, Secondary – Virtual)에서 매니토바 출전자들이 좋은 성과를 냈다.
Skillsmanitoba는 밴쿠버 컨벤션센터에서 5월 26일부터 27일까지 (2일간) 열린 대회에 PS (post-secondary) 부문에 27명이 참여하여 16개의 메달 그리고 S (secondary) 부문에 21명이 출전하여 11개의 메달을 획득하였다고 발표했다.
매니토바에서는 SCNC 2022에 48명이 참여하여 총 27개의 메달 (금: 9개, 은: 9개 그리고 동: 9개)을 획득했지만, World Skills Competition (WSC)에 참여할 자격을 갖춘 사람은 없었다.
올해 World Skills Competition (WSC)는 중국 상하이에서 10월 12일부터 17일까지 열릴 예정이었지만, 상하이의 봉쇄로 대회가 취소되었다. WorldSkills Members and Global Partners는 대안을 찾고 있는 것으로 알려지고 있다.
