    NDP 정부 1년이 지났는데도 거의 개선이 없는 위니펙 병원 응급실 대기시간

    매니토바 NDP가 지난해 지방선거에서 승리한지 1년을 지나면서 일부 위니펙 병원과 어전트-케어 (urgent-care) 응급실 대기시간은 약간 줄었지만, 6개 중에서 3곳은 오히려 대기시간이 늘어난 것으로 나타났다.

    NDP는 2023년 선거 캠페인에서 병원 시스템에 더 많은 직원을 배치하고 병상을 추가하여 응급실 대기시간을 줄이겠다고 약속했다. 그러나 집권한지 1년이 지난 현재 약간 줄어들기는 했지만, 크게 줄어들지는 않은 것으로 나타났다.

    2023년 10월 위니펙 3곳 응급실 그리고 3곳의 어전트-케어 중간 대기시간은 3.52 시간이었다. 올해 10월에는 3.43 시간으로 약간 줄었지만, 크게 개선된 것은 아니다. (중간 대기시간 값은 대기시간을 가장 긴 시간에서 가장 짧은 시간으로 정리했을 때 가장 중앙에 있는 값이다.)
