연방정부의 Sean Fraser (Housing, Infrastructure and Communities 담당) 장관과 Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)의 Scott Pearce 회장은 매니토바 지역 6개 지방자치단체의 혁신적인 인프라 전략을 구현하도록 돕기 위해 271,534 달러를 지원한다고 발표했다.
12월 22일 발표된 자금은 캐나다 정부의 지원을 받아 Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)가 운영하는 110 밀리언 달러 규모의 Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP)에서 나온 것이다.
연방정부 보도자료에 따르면, 이 투자는 지역사회가 경기장, 교량, 식수와 폐수 시스템 그리고 도로와 같은 인프라가 최대한 효율적으로 작동하도록 하는데 도움을 주기 위한 것이다.
