12월 22일 발표된 자금은 캐나다 정부의 지원을 받아 Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)가 운영하는 110 밀리언 달러 규모의 Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP)에서 나온 것이다.
연방정부 보도자료에 따르면, 이 투자는 지역사회가 경기장, 교량, 식수와 폐수 시스템 그리고 도로와 같은 인프라가 최대한 효율적으로 작동하도록 하는데 도움을 주기 위한 것이다.
