매니토바 주정부가 10월 15일에 공식적으로 시작하여 12월까지 “Every Vaccine Counts” 예방접종 캠페인을 실시한다고 발표했다.
캠페인 기간에는 일반 독감 예방접종, 65세 이상 시니어를 위한 고용량 예방접종 그리고 최신 COVID-19 백신이 제공된다. 퍼스널 케어-홈에 거주하는 시니어들이 통상적으로 가장 먼저 예방접종을 받는다.
Manitoba Health는 RSV (호흡기 세포융합 바이러스) 백신이 올해 60세 이상 퍼스널 케어-홈 거주자에게는 무료로 제공된다고 했다. 당국은 독감 예방접종과 RSV 백신 사이에 최소 2주가 필요하다고 했다.
헬스 당국은 매니토밴들의 휄빙이 제일 중요하기 때문에 백신 접종은 업무의 최우선이라고 했다. 당국은 또한 최대한 신속하고 안전하게 물류를 관리하기 위해 예방접종 과정을 철저하게 관리할 것이라고 했다.
지역마다 다른 예방접종 일정을 발표하고 있다. 온타리오 주정부는 취약한 계층과 우선순위가 높은 거주자들을 중심으로 조만간 예방접종을 실시할 것이라고 했다. 그리고 6개월 이상의 다른 거주자들은 10월 28일부터 시작되는 일반 프로그램을 기다려야 한다는 것이 온타리오 주정부의 발표이다.
사스캐치완 주정부는 10월 15일부터 예방접종 프로그램을 시작하며, 거주자들은 10월 8일부터 접종을 예약할 수 있다.
